Three adults students listen in class.

AGES 19 - 25 June - August 2018

Oxford Royale’s world-class summer school for ages 19-25, offering the true Oxford student experience based on historic university campuses.

This summer, Oxford Royale Academy will welcome a select group of students to two of the oldest and most picturesque of all Oxford University colleges – Merton College and University College. We would be delighted if you were to consider joining us for an experience that will be as culturally and socially immersive as it will be academically beneficial. After all, the only true way to experience the magical city of Oxford is as a student.

Adult Summer School Overview

Our Oxford summer courses for adults are inspired by the rigour of their prestigious environments. We have a range of exciting study options available, including English language, Business Management, Psychology and more.
But an Oxford Royale Academy summer experience is about more than your chosen course. Taking place in colleges of the University of Oxford, summer courses for adults from Oxford Royale Academy allow you to live, or re-live, the life of a student at one of the best universities in the world.

Of course, if you wish to use your time outside of class for independent exploration of the many coffee shops, cafes, restaurants and public houses, that is positively encouraged. Your location right in the heart of Oxford is the perfect base from which you can do that.

5 reasons to choose the Oxford Summer School for ages 19-25

Live and Study in an Oxford University College

Immerse yourself in 1000 years of history. Oxford’s Merton College and University College are perfect locations for our adult summer school, boasting an enviable city centre location.

Oxford’s museums, libraries, and historical sites are all within easy walking distance, yet its leafy quads and breathtaking cloisters ensure a sense of tranquility that can make the bustle of the high street feel a million miles away.

Academic Excellence in Every Sense

Each course has been carefully designed by our expert teaching faculty to ensure you achieve the maximum possible academic benefit from your summer. Time in class will consist of immersive lectures and interactive seminars, during which students will learn from their teacher, and discuss and debate their ideas with their fellow students.

Each student will also benefit from small group tutorial time with their teacher, enabling them to sample the traditional Oxford University tutorial model.

The aim of each course is for every student to leave with their knowledge in their chosen subject area enhanced, their enthusiasm for education increased, and their core skills for further education or the workplace improved.

A British Cultural Immersion

A rich programme of events and excursions is provided for our Oxford adult students, including a full-day excursion to Blenheim Palace, an evening dining experience at one of the world’s best restaurants, tours of Oxford and its museums and much more. The programme concludes with a formal graduation ceremony at which you will collect your official ORA certificate, followed by a marvellous Farewell dinner and party at your college.

Just announced: each student will also gain exclusive access to the world-famous Bodleian library, a privilege usually only available to students of the University of Oxford, and rarely available to summer visitors.

Courses That Deliver Tangible Benefits

Under guidance from ORA’s expert teaching faculty, you will have the opportunity to engage with your subject of interest in greater depth than ever before.

If you are thinking of starting your own business, our Global Business, Management and Finance programme is a must. If you’d like to learn how to code apps and develop basic websites, then our iOS Application and Web Development programme will help you get there. If you’d like to improve your English language skills, where better to take an adult EFL programme than in the City of Dreaming Spires?

Kickstart Your Career

We welcome motivated adult students from all over the world to join us in Oxford. Undergraduates may benefit from a period of intense summer study to top up their knowledge before entering their second or third year, whilst those on gap years may be keen to kickstart their study regime before re-entering education.

Those with a specific career direction in mind may benefit from our Business Management, Medicine, or iOS and web programming courses, to name just a few.
